I think I have a middle seat on a 12 hour flight...

Here it is, my life packed into four bags (soon changed to 5 when one was grossly overweight, it's fine).

I'm currently sitting in the San Francisco airport waiting to board my extra-long flight to Shanghai. Don't worry, I'll be amused, I have an elaborate array of electronics to keep me occupied including my computer, a Kindle, an iPod touch, my camera and a cell phone. I like to think of myself as a person that can be unconnected for a while, but apparently this is a false idea. Again, it's fine.

When I get in to Shanghai, I'll be picked up by CIEE and transported to our lodging for the orientation. It should be a good time, seeing as I've already done a CIEE orientation in Shanghai before. Hurray acrobatics show!

I have a sweet texting app on my iPod that allows you Americans (and non-Americans I suppose) to text me for free. I get the texts when I have wifi. Email me if you'd like the number. I will also be getting a Chinese cell and, of course, Skype. Stay in touch.

Kisses,
ellen
