Good Guanxi

Remember how I flooded my neighbor's apartment? Well, I felt really embarrassed and bad about the whole thing. So I bought them some oranges and wrote a note in Chinese, probably pidgin Chinglish actually, then put the little package outside their door.

The next day, I got this in return:

 

"No Problem!" in response to my "I'm really very sorry!"

She even drew cute little flowers and said I could ask them for help whenever! Plus two apples!

I'm workin' hard to develop good guanxi, or relationships, with my Chinese neighbors, coworkers and friends. First step, the exchanging of the fruit. Excellent.
